3rd IS lesson (Reflection)

On our third IS lesson, we learned about the http. Http stands for Hypertext Markup Language. We learned how to make the skeleton of a website for example: we start with typing (html) and then we can type (head)and then type our heading we want on the web page and then close by typing < /head > thereafter we can add a body by typing(body).........your message............ < /body >. Then we have to close the whole thing by typing < /html>. That is how create the basics of the website. We can change many more things like templates and fonts. I am looking forward to the next coming lessons as Mr Cheong will teach us more about html and teach us how to publish our website.

Second IS lesson (Reflection)

This is my second lesson on IS. Today we learned about 1) the new impact of new media technology, 2) ethical issues on media usage and intellectual property and 3) blog and website differences. I did a reflection on ethical issues on media usage and intellectual property at http://webnewmedia.ning.com/. I also posted comments on my friends views. I think through discussing at the forum, we can learn more from each other about IT. For example, we cannot copy others work on the internet and take it as our own work. We should always seek permission and give credits when we want to copy others work on the internet.

First IS class(my reflection)

We had our first lesson in the computer lab. We first watched a interesting video on youtube about how technology has changed over the years.

Our teacher was Mr Cheong, he had prepared a powerpoint to teach us some basics on IT such as URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator and FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. I think that this subject is very useful as I learnt how to blog and other skills.
